This piece manifested on its own while I had different intentions for the piece. Just as life can be, we cannot predict what will happen in our lifetime. As I've watched many stunning red sunsets over the past few years, I am aware that our beauty here is a result of a crisis elsewhere. This imbalance in the world is complex to process emotionally. How do we appreciate what we have while holding empathy for others who do not? Sometimes we have to take a moment to rest and let things be as they are for a moment because there is no control.
