Inspired by the Japanese Gardens in Portland, these meditative rings of light bring me back to the way sunlight moves across the stone floors there - so simple, but one of the most stimulating performances of nature. The Pacific Northwest has this saturated, enveloping feeling where nature seems fuller, softer, more alive than home. I've been to Portland a few times now, and every time it feels like the place my heart recognizes. I have to say, this is my personal favourite of this collection because of my connection to this place.
