Sometimes all we need is to lie in the sand and tune out. One of my favourite memories growing up was lying on a beach up north and covering my face with a t-shirt. The way the sun sparkled through the fabric, almost a bokeh effect, with little grains of sand you could almost see under a microscope. It's these quiet moments that I always miss. Our senses are focused and isolated, allowing our minds to be alone for a while.
