I always find myself gravitating to the natural spaces that have been manicured by humans; something about this constant effort to maintain and prune Mother Nature into its most idealized form. It’s a blend of vanity and insanity to wander the massive gardens of Montreal. I’ve visited many times now, both during the day and at the whimsical autumn Gardens of Light where everything becomes a sensory dream. It is these many states that make it feel like a dream, or the towering beacon of the Olympic stadium which seems to help you navigate the gardens even in the dark. I’ve visited many gardens but this one has always held my heart.
